A new layer of intelligence for hiring decisions
Resumes show career paths. Interviews reveal impressions. But neither, in isolation, answers the most critical question: who actually has the skills to do the job? Bright was built to add a structured layer of evaluation to your hiring process, turning job requirements into tailored assessments and comparable evidence.
Technical and behavioral assessments, asynchronous interviews, scores, and reports come together in a single workflow, transforming resumes and fragmented impressions into organized, actionable evidence.

Bright grew out of Novatics' hands-on experience building high-performing teams and evaluating talent where technical skills, behavior, and collaboration had to be assessed together. Traditional hiring processes drained leadership time, produced hard-to-compare evaluations, and left crucial decisions heavily dependent on individual perceptions.
All of these factors increased drop-off rates, hindered decision-making, created hidden operational costs, and elevated both governance and business risks for the solution.
"Out of this reality came a core thesis: turn years of talent assessment expertise into a product that generates clear evidence before the interview ever takes place. From that thesis, Bright was born, bringing together business acumen, experience design, software engineering, and artificial intelligence."

02. Hiring is no longer a volume problem. It has become an evidence problem
The job market is undergoing a structural transformation: 39% of core skills required from professionals are expected to change by 2030, while 63% of employers already cite skill gaps as one of the main barriers to business transformation.
Hiring speed now competes with assessing rapidly shifting skills, making consistent candidate comparisons, and generating useful insights for decisions that directly impact productivity, culture, and business outcomes. The faster skills evolve, the less a resume alone can capture a professional's true potential.
03. Evaluating talent better without adding complexity to the process
Building Bright required balancing four core tensions: depth versus speed, standardization versus context, automation versus human judgment, and technical power versus ease of use. The solution had to deliver consistent, contextualized evaluations without passing system complexity on to HR teams, hiring managers, or candidates. Time previously spent on the most expensive stages of the hiring process could now be redirected toward strategic HR initiatives.
04. Not building another ATS, but creating a layer of intelligence on top of the existing process
From the start, the goal was never to replace the systems or processes companies already had in place. Bright was designed as an evaluation layer between candidate intake and interviews, adding intelligence precisely where uncertainty and subjectivity tend to be highest.
Instead of requiring a complete transformation of the hiring operation, Bright structures evaluation criteria, captures evidence, and makes it easier to compare candidates. The idea can be summed up simply: do not replace your process. Improve the quality of the decisions made within it.
05. From Decision to Product
Novatics structured Bright’s development around a central question: what evidence does a company need to determine whether a candidate should move forward? From there, product strategy, decision modeling, experience design, artificial intelligence, and engineering were developed as an integrated whole.
Rather than treating strategy, design, and technology as separate stages, the team approached every decision as part of the same system. Each interface decision had to be technically viable, and every technical decision had to deliver tangible value for the user.
06. An experience designed around three distinct perspectives
Bright connects three stakeholders with distinct needs. For HR teams, it reduces operational workload and turns complex information into a clear, actionable recommendation. For hiring managers, it makes candidate comparison and decision making easier. For candidates, it delivers a focused experience where they can demonstrate their skills without feeling like they are simply repeating what is already on their resume.
This vision was translated into a simple journey: describe the role, configure the assessment, invite candidates, track responses, and review rankings and reports. Candidates complete assessments asynchronously, without requiring hiring managers to get involved upfront. The complexity of the models and data stays behind the scenes. For users, the product feels like a clear sequence of understandable decisions.
07. AI that organizes evidence and supports human decision making
At Bright, AI works as decision support infrastructure. It uses the context of each role to help build assessments, organize responses, and turn different dimensions of analysis into scores, reports, and comparable candidate profiles.
The technology is built on three principles: contextualization, explainability, and human oversight. Assessments reflect the context of the role, results surface the evidence behind recommendations, and the final decision remains with the people responsible for the hiring process. AI does not hire. It helps people hire with more context.
“We built an architecture of specialized agents that can adaptively assess candidates across different content formats and within the context of each assessment. This transforms fragmented data into comparable, actionable evidence for HR teams.”

08. From functional product to perceived value
Bright’s impact goes beyond automating candidate screening. It improves the quality of information available before the interview. The platform delivers a 70% reduction in screening time, while helping teams prioritize candidates and avoid interviews with low fit.
Beyond reducing manual work and limiting early hiring manager involvement, Bright creates more consistent evaluation criteria, strengthens alignment between HR and leadership, and increases decision traceability. At ISG Participações, the report came to be seen as an internal asset that gives hiring managers greater confidence in their decisions while increasing transparency for the People team.
“Having everything centralized in one place has significantly streamlined our workflow and brought much more structure to our hiring process. Knowing that the candidates we send to hiring managers have been thoroughly evaluated gives us much greater confidence in our hiring decisions.”

09. The next chapter is not just about recruiting. It is about talent intelligence.
Bright started with candidate assessment, but the infrastructure it has built opens the door to a broader vision. The same capabilities used to map skills, build assessments, and organize evidence can support internal mobility, employee development, succession planning, team assessment, and workforce planning.
This evolution points to a larger shift: from an assessment platform to an intelligence infrastructure for understanding skills, capable of helping companies not only hire talent, but also develop the people already within the organization.
